This is what makes me great at what I do
As a mental health therapist, I bring a unique set of skills and experiences to my practice, including a diverse background in education and child welfare. With a career spanning roles as a kindergarten teacher, second grade teacher, fourth grade teacher, Christian Academy director, and Investigator and Inspector for Family and Protective Services, I have gained a deep understanding of the needs and challenges facing children and families from a variety of perspectives. This rich and varied experience allows me to provide compassionate and effective therapy services that are tailored to the unique needs of each individual, couple, or family that I work with.
I understand the importance of feeling seen, heard, and respected. I hope to help you improve your life and relationships. I have a professional interest in education that highlights the multicultural aspects of Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC). I also provide faith-based Christian counseling upon request.
I provide virtual or in person sessions (with safety as a priority) to offer the support you need during these difficult times.
You have made it this far on your journey to a happier, healthier, more productive you. I would be honored to help you continue forward on your Journey To Grace.
Let's Get Personal: Because therapy is a relationship, here's more about me!
Hey ya'll,
I'm all about living life to the fullest! My faith, family, and friends are everything to me and I'm proud to be a wife and mom to two amazing kids. I'm described as a fun-loving, silly, patient, open-minded, inclusive, and caring person who loves to laugh.
When I'm not busy being a therapist, you'll find me nose-deep in children's books (I'll never outgrow my love for them!), exploring new places on random weekend trips, and trying out the latest foodie hotspots. I'm also a total creative at heart, with a love for painting, drawing, crafting, and playing the piano.
Before I became a full-time therapist in private practice, I was in the business of being a superhero! Okay, fine, I was actually working for the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services for around 8 years as an inspector, child care specialist, and investigator. But let's be real, that's pretty much like being a superhero, right?
In addition to a career of keeping children safe, I also have over 10 years of experience in education. I've done it all, from being a child care director to an elementary school teacher (4th and 2nd grades are my jam, but let's not forget the kinders!) to a certified school counselor. I truly enjoy helping kiddos and families thrive.
As if that wasn't enough, I'm always down for giving back to my community, whether that means volunteering at my church nursery, being a helpful listener for those in need, or spreading kindness wherever I go.
