Simone

About Simone

Simone Robinson, Graduate Counselor Supervised by Cori Riley, M.Ed., LPC, C-CCPT

Reaching out for support can feel overwhelming, and I believe it takes incredible courage to begin the counseling process. My hope is to create a space where you feel safe, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. I believe every person has the capacity for growth and healing, and that meaningful change often begins when we feel truly understood.

At the heart of my approach is the belief that therapy is a process of reunification—a journey of rediscovering the parts of yourself that may have been lost through life's challenges, relationships, disappointments, or pain. Sometimes those pieces fit back into place, and sometimes healing means creating something entirely new. Wherever you are in your journey, I consider it a privilege to walk alongside you.

Whether you are helping your child navigate difficult emotions, searching for your own identity, working through anxiety, adjusting to a major life transition, strengthening family relationships, or seeking deeper connection in your marriage, I strive to provide a compassionate and collaborative therapeutic experience. I believe every person's story deserves to be heard with curiosity, empathy, and respect.

I am currently completing my Master of Arts in Professional Counseling at Dallas Baptist University and serve as a clinical counseling intern at Journey to Grace. I am grateful for the opportunity to combine my academic training with my passion for helping others experience hope, healing, and meaningful growth.

My Approach

As a developing clinician, I take a holistic approach to counseling, recognizing that emotional well-being is influenced by our relationships, experiences, beliefs, and personal history. My work is informed by systems thinking and psychodynamic theory, exploring not only present concerns but also the experiences that have shaped who you are today. Together, we will seek to understand your story, identify patterns that may no longer serve you, and build toward lasting growth.

Areas of Interest

I enjoy working with:

  • Children (ages 8+ for individual counseling)
  • Adolescents
  • Adults
  • Couples
  • Families (with children ages 5+)

I have a special interest in supporting clients experiencing:

  • Anxiety
  • Low self-esteem and identity concerns
  • Major life transitions
  • Parenting challenges and family conflict
  • Single parenthood
  • Premarital counseling
  • Blended family dynamics
  • Parenting children with behavioral or developmental diagnoses
  • Adverse childhood experiences

I offer both in-person and virtual/tele-health sessions for individual, family, and group counseling to meet the unique needs of each client.

More About Me!

Therapy is a mutual relationship, so here’s some info about me! Outside of the counseling office, you'll usually find me curled up with an Emily Henry novel, watching the latest episode of Big Brother, or attempting to do both while finishing a Sudoku puzzle. I love long afternoons by the pool, sharing great meals with the people I love, and finding joy in life's simple moments—a warm afternoon in the sun, meaningful conversations, and laughter that leaves your stomach hurting.
