You Don't Have to Keep Carrying This Alone
Life can get heavy, and sometimes it feels like no matter how hard you try; you cannot quite find your footing again. Maybe you're walking through a painful divorce, trying to make sense of a loss, or still carrying wounds from things that happened long ago. Maybe your child is struggling, and you are not sure how to help them. Whatever brings you here, you're in the right place.
I am Samanthia and I am very passionate about helping children, teens, and adults find their way through some of life's most difficult seasons. I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate, under the supervision of Dr. Candace Chuyou-Campbell, a Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and a Foundational Theraplay Practitioner. I hold a Master of Education in Counseling with a specialization in Play Therapy from the University of North Texas.
What You Might Be Experiencing
You may be dealing with one or more of the following:
Whatever you are facing, you deserve support and not just advice, but a space where you can breathe, be open, honest, and take one step at time on your way to begin your healing.
How I Can Help
I take an integrative approach to therapy, which simply means I do not use a one-size-fits-all method. Instead, I tailor our work to your unique needs. You might find us exploring thought patterns that are keeping you stuck, processing emotions through conversation and reflection. If you are a parent and you are bringing in your young child, I utilize play therapy techniques, by creating a safe and engaging space for them to process emotions and experiences through play. Play therapy isn't just "playing around” it's a way for children to process big feelings and experiences in a language that comes naturally to them.
Throughout our work together, I may draw on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness techniques, and trauma-informed practice always with your comfort and your goals in mind. I also deeply respect the role that faith can play in healing. If your beliefs are important to you, they are welcome here.
What to Expect in This Space
From the very first session, my goal is for you to feel safe, not judged, not rushed, not pressured. This is a space where your story matters, where your feelings make sense, and where you and I work as a team. I will walk with you each step of the way to help you identify your strengths and support you as you build the confidence and clarity to move forward.
Healing is possible and you do not have to figure it out alone.
I also provide Christian/Bible-based therapy, upon request.
My private pay rate starts at $125 for individual therapy. I accept United Health/, Surest, UMR, Optum, and Aetna insurances.
Areas of focus: life transitions, divorce, grief and loss, childhood trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, aviation industry individuals, and play therapy (ages 3 and up)

When I'm not in session, you'll likely find me spending time with the people I love, taking a little self-care moment at the spa, getting a workout in, or planning my next travel adventure.
