Hello! My name is Rickeisha, and I am currently a graduate student pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, specializing in dealing with young adults from the age ranges of 20 to 40 years of age. As your counselor, my role is to cultivate a meaningful relationship with you and help you find solutions and skills that work for your better quality of life. I support my clients by developing problem-solving skills to enhance confidence and women's emotional health, setting boundaries, and dealing with childhood trauma and domestic violence.
I am currently a graduate student at the University of Phoenix. I am aiming to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. Being a graduate student has offered me many opportunities to expand my learning, such as becoming a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success and a member of the American Counseling Association. These organizations allow me to continue to perfect my craft and enhance my understanding.
Most of my clinical experience is centered around supporting the needs of women and creating a safe space that is nonjudgemental, secure, and empathetic to your needs. As my client, your safety within our therapeutic relationship will be my top priority. Therefore, I offer virtual and in-person sessions to meet your needs best. I believe in working together as a team to empower you on your therapeutic journey.
I look forward to learning your story and helping you navigate the narrative of your life and achieve personal growth and well-being.
Specialties Areas:
My private pay rate starts at $55 for individual therapy (sliding scale options available).
On a personal note, Let's dive deeper into who I am. Some of the activities that I enjoy partaking in are going shopping (I love looking for new clothes), reading a good book (such as romance or science fiction), and traveling across the United States with my boyfriend. I enjoy being around others and doing something to put a smile on my face or laugh.
You may find yourself quiet and reserved when entering into new spaces. Believe me, I get it- I can be the same way sometimes. Which is why I cultivate an environment for you to feel safe, acknowledged, and validated on your own timing. I hope we are a "good fit" and that I can be there with you during your journey of self-discovery.
